Medical Devices 101The FMDIC, in co-sponsorship with the FDA, presented Medical Devices 101 at the Norris Conference Center in San Antonio, Texas, on Friday, August 20, 2010. This educational forum provides an overview on FDA’s medical device requirements to entrepreneurs, start-up companies, and small businesses. The goal of the educational forum is to present basic information that will enable new manufacturers and specification developers to better comply with the medical device regulations. The course broadly covers the topics listed in our draft agenda. Attendance will allow registrants to request Continued Education Units (CEU) recognition of 7 hours (0.7 CEUs) courtesy of the Dwight Look College of Engineering, Texas A&M University. Registrants interested in CEU's must complete and turn in the CEU request form at the end of the event before leaving.
